Watch the video. The Black Crowes are one of the all-time great live rock bands. Their shows are legendary and regularly sell out in record time wherever in the world they play. This new live show was filmed on the 20th March at the Wiltern in Los Angeles during the tour in support of their critically acclaimed new studio album "Warpaint". Written by Anonymous. The Black Crowes are in my opinion one of the best Rock bands ever.

The Black Crowes – Warpaint
So when they arrived at WFUV separately, well, let's just say that didn't dispel those rumors. But it turns out that they were going to different places after the interview, and travel just made more sense this way. Chris arrived second and met Rich in the studio. They chatted and immediately started running through some of the new songs from Warpaint , as well as an old favorite from Amorica. Chris is a tremendous interview with plenty to say about the band's history and reunion, as well as the state of the music industry.

More memento than major statement, 's WarPaint Live -- available as a DVD and a two-CD set -- finds the Black Crowes running through their comeback Warpaint in its entirety during a gig in Los Angeles, adding a five-song coda of covers and Crowes classics. Warpaint was a reunion and revitalization for the Black Crowes , their best album in a long time, and much of that renewed energy can be heard in this performance, which manages to be loose and tight, the work of a band comfortable in its own skin and strength. Apart from the closing covers, highlighted by a coolly confident "Torn and Frayed" and a raucous "Hey Grandma," surprises are a bit hard to come by, but that's not a problem because the band never sounds tired; they're engaged, so it's hard not to be swept up in their enthusiasm too.
