Western proto-Buddhism

A conversation between Rev. Jiun Foster and a practitioner on the topic of Western Buddhism. Some of it refers specifically to the American situation, but many remarks apply equally well, at least as one view, on the general Western development in various streams of Buddhadharma, institutionally and in individual practice. Good work, Jiun! Quote: "This is an amazing time, to be a practicing Western Buddhist of a pragmatic, forward thinking bent. There are more of us than many people suspect. We are in this generation the midwives of something that is being born." Listen in here (or download at your convenience). Time just over 1 hour.
