Evolution: the Real Debate
The new issue of WIE brings an overview of a dozen major streams in evolutionary thought from neo-darwinists on one end to intelligent designers on the other with integralists right in the middle of the bed (it's an uncomfortable middle but who am I to complain). In the public eye, many of these approaches are being ignored while media attention is lavishly given to the extremists that actually fear any real integration or inclusiveness. When the Other's Heaven is the definiton of One's Hell, real debate is the last thing on their minds. The world is still waiting. There IS however an immense opportunity for genuine debate, if ONLY we can allow for some sincere curiosity to arise instead of historical ideological agendas. WIE did it again!
