Ken Wilber: "Ta-da" Second Part

There had to be a reflective twist, I guess, but I didn't think it'll come so soon. And the original post wasn't a Test at all, after all. In my view, it was a straight, frank and humorous statement, without a trace of self-righteousness about it. Of course, that's not how it looks and feels to the "other side" in the "argument", but the point is there is no "other side" in this case, so there really is no argument. And it's so clear, there's no doubt about it. So, fundamentally, this moment of awareness is a Test. Is there an other side in your awareness now?

The question i have for you is Is there any range to your awareness?

Wilber and his groupies now play the three cards which cannot be trumped. [This comes from a post in Matthew Dallman's blog.]

(1) The Higher Level Card (i.e. Sorry, it’s just over your head). Sorry, but you’re just not smart enough to realize I am smarter than you, because you’re on a lower (less divine) level.

(2) The Projection Card (i.e., I know you are, but what am I). By criticizing me, you are really just criticizing yourself, because any problem you see in me is just a projection of a problem in yourself.

(3) The Skillful Means Card (i.e., it’s all your own fault, dickhead). The most potent card of all! It’s not abuse; it’s not pathetic or ridiculous or wrong; it’s a crazy-wise teaching. You know, like Zen stuff. So when I call you a dickhead, it’s not because I’m a dickhead, it’s because you have a dickhead-complex that you need to evolve past, and I’m here to help you see that.

Hokai, it all becomes a tautology of the absurd. A retelling of Animal Farm. Maoism rent small.

The resistance to Wilberism is understandable. Something there is which doesn't like a bully or a meglomaniac.

I agree that Integral is a powerful, wonderful insight, but with Wilber it is now just a retravelling the first tier and thinking it's the second tier, and the first tier, again, now with him thinking it's third tier.

Other's places on the ladder all becomes wholly dependent on how much one is in accord with The Ken.

It's a shame you don't see into this, with so much of your life lived in a communist country.

Integralism can continue, only it is going to be necessary that the movement, or part of the movement, succeed in dispatching Ken. In youth, Ken was Mozart; in middle age, Solieri.

It's obvious he wasn't sincere or frank with his friends, colleagues and protectors, not to mention his students. Such behaviour creates serious disturbances in relationships for a long time. Trust is the key word, and that has been broken.

dear anonymous, what can i say? i'm sorry but my awareness is rangeless. don't pretend that you know where i lived or what i should've learned. i can certainly tell a difference between a dictator and a guru, as i can tell there's a lot of herd mentality cloacked in tolerance, politeness and politically correct speech reacting to something known as "rant". if it's a rant, why react at all? and please, don't quote me to me, 'cos i know me well enough. godspeed, hokai

ps. love from ken
